Riboflavin (vitamin B2)
-
Riboflavin acts biochemically in the form of flavin mononucleotide (FMN)
or flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD). FMN and FAD serve as prosthetic
groups of oxidoreductase enzymes (flavoproteins; eg.,
a-amino acid oxidase, xanthine oxidase,
succinate dehydrogenase).
